If you are on social media, you've no doubt seen people dumping buckets of ice water on their heads.

In just two weeks the "ALS Ice Bucket Challenge" has caused donations to the ALS Association nationally and here in Florida to skyrocket.

A Florida ALS spokeswoman says they have raised nearly $64,000 between July 22 and August 14, just in Florida.  That's compared to $27,000 during the same two week period a year ago.

There is no cure for ALS, which is also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease.

The folks with the Florida chapter of the ALS Association hope you'll donate to them.
