Tropical Storm Dorian is continue to push out 60 mile per hour maximum sustained winds as it treks in a West Northwest direction over the open Atlantic waters at 17 mph.
Our Storm Team 5 partners report that Dorian will encounter a fair amount of wind shear and dry air over the next few days, so it may experience some weakening.
The official track as of 11 a.m. on Thursday takes the storm close to Puerto Rico by Monday and Hispaniola by Tuesday. The storm could turn up toward the Bahamas by Wednesday and Thursday of next week.
At this point, Tropical Storm Dorian is nearly 3,000 miles away from South Florida.
